2024 Nail Art Trends (Part 1)

I wish everyone a successful and beautiful 2024! Recently, nail art experts Michelle Saunders and Analysse Hernandez shared their predictions for popular nail art ideas in 2024. They expect a trend that combines classic designs with fashion and vibrant energy. Let’s introduce a few of them.

1. Chrome Nails

After Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, the metallic trend was everywhere in 2023. In the new year, we will still see the chrome effect, but with more diverse colors. Saunders predicts that soft chrome shine paired with subtle tones will be a trend in the spring and summer seasons.

2. Textured Designs
If you’re new to nail art, textured designs are a great starting point. Saunders and Hernandez believe this trend will continue to evolve in 2024, creating super cool and modern nail looks. Whether added to classic French manicures or different designs like 3D bubbles, this style is versatile. Hernandez suggests using 3D gel tubes or sculpting gel to achieve this effect.

3. Hazy Blue
The “cool girl” makeup trend gained popularity in early 2023, and now it’s making its way into manicures in 2024. Saunders sees a trend of hazy blue, combining light blue nail polish with a touch of gray, rising in the winter months. To add some sparkle, you can apply a layer of silver on top of the blue.

4. Electric Blue
If you prefer vibrant colors, according to Hernandez, electric blue will also be a trend in 2024. She recommends The Gel Bottle in Electric Blue for an elegant and eye-catching nail look that can be worn year-round.

5. Shades of Red
Red was the biggest color trend of 2023 and remains popular in 2024. Saunders says, “Even though red polish is often associated with classic looks or seasonal options like holidays and Valentine’s Day, it’s actually currently trending.” She recently used Chanel’s Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in Rouge Puissant for an editorial, and it gave a stylish and modern look.

Saunders and Hernandez also predict that a slightly darker shade of red, known as “Cherry Cola,” will be popular for those seeking a deep, wintery nail look.
